Background Image Advertising

Have you seen any arcade running background image advertising? I remember I saw it on addictinggames dot com and some other arcade site. It uses the 2 sides to achieve the advertisng purpose. More visible on screen with width > 1024px and it's probably not clickable. Did you happen to see it today?

Usual I don't like images but I am trying to make it an option for ArcadeBB V3 WordPress Arcade Theme. Demo: purl=http://www.ifightinggames.com]Fighting Games[url] has a Bruce Lee background image. Would be better if the 2 sides has more images to deliver the message.

What's your view on background image advertising?

I saw this the other day on quite a few larger sites. I think its a great ad method and I even clicked on it quite a few times (99% accidental though) so I bet this is a pretty high ctr ad.

some one posted earlier its from ad4games.com and requires 10k daily uniques.

CPMStar has actually email me a week ago regarding background image advertising. I have replied to them and hope they will send me the ad tag soon.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen something like that on Kongregate.

It would be interesting to see how it would work out on an arcade site.

And yes, most of the time I've seen background ads they was clickable.

Yes they are clickable. I am waiting for the code from cpmstar before I can test it on my sites.

I received the ad tag from CPMStar. Simply paste before </body> and it should work.

Awesome, though I only pasted the code 3 hours ago. The CTR% is quite high, at least 4 times the 728x90, 160x600, 300x250. I bet it will get even higher when the US gamers wake up and start playing.

One thing I wish is that there are more advertisers in this "dynamic siteskin" category.

So, CPMStar, please work harder and get the new advertisers in Big Grin

Well from looking at them for quite some time i think i have come to a conclusion about what i think.

Even though there ads, They make your arcade background look fantastic. I would have them on my arcades.
