Compress thumbnails and images

Hey guys,

I thought i'd share a great tool for compressing your images. You could save alot of kb's and mb's
Compressing your images makes your site load faster, if all your thumbnails are 35k and you get them to half (17) or even less 5-10 all those images will be loaded alot faster and i will save some bandwidth too!

You can use an online service like:

Or a really really good and with batch! feature to compress you images/thumbnails:
http://www.irfanview.com/

Just find a setting that keeps the image at a decent quality but decreases the file size.

timthumb works. Its open source and it automatically does the work and caches it.
