Lots of questions to get better!

Ok, so i got some questions on how to get better or how to handle things (multiple arcades). I'm thinking of posting this also on TA to get more opinions but i thought i'll give it a try on this site first

Please answer all my questions if you like (i can be talkative sometimes) but if you only answer one that's alright too.

I'm looking to start 1 more arcade, actualy 2 or 3 more but i'm thinking of starting with one.

1. I'm thinking of using ATS, what's best a general arcade (all games) or a niche specific?

2. It will be .com domain and world wide audience (favorite to USA) is it neccesary to host it in the USA? I own http://www.funnyjigsawpuzzles.com and it's doing alright but it's hosted in Holland, geolocation is a SEO factor but how big?

3. If decide to host in the USA (more costs) what hosting would you recommend?

4. So if i get 2 sites in the US (funny jigsaw and the new one) host it on 1 account/package or different hosting or package? And why?

5. If 4 is different package/hosting, it could get expensive cause you need to upload the swf's from the games to every hosting but you will need a decent package with bandwidth and harddisc space.

6. How hard is it to get a profitable ATS arcade, i'm running 2 arcades 1 dutch 1 US and they're alright (the dutch with adsense wasnt good but now it is with custom ads), will it be easy to get back the script (75) + domain + hosting?

7. ATS, ofcourse i would like to get into traffic trading (new to me but i'll learn), upload good games from mochi or use the crappy games that everyone has to trade?

8. How do you manage multiple sites or arcades? A schedule on monday site A , tuesday site B?

I might sound like a total noob right now but i don't care, i know i'm not but i never hosted a website out of my own country, Holland. Why? I have a very cheap hosting 100 euro's a year i have 300GB of bandwith and 20GB of diskspace, that's alot but if i check out other hosting i have to pay alot of money for alot less.

Now i want to make funnyjigsaw better and get some new arcades to earn more i got 900euro's profit from last year so i have spending money. So i was thinking for ranking in google put maybe the most important thing pagespeed and loading for US players, is it best to host in the US or isn't it such a big problem or deal?

After reading Arcadelady's topic, he was hosted in Germany, alot better server than i have (shared lol) but still..

And someother big question is it gonna work with one hosting, if i had 3 or 5 arcades on the same server, linkexchanging each other will it matter for rankings? Is it better to get different hostings? But than the price will get up in cost

I would like to know how you handle you business and learned from it.

If you plan to get shared - get it in USA, if dedicated - not matter (if channel is wide).
If you plan put links beetween your projects, register your domains on different registrators and get hosting on diff IP's.
IMO ATS need a lot of mods and customisation.

Go for general arcade first. ArcadeLady is also general arcade.

If you target US traffic, host in US.

Depends on your budget. If you want to go big, you have to spend a little more. I would go for cloud hosting so that I can deploy more resources within min. I used VPS.NET

Depends on your budget. Also if you current package can handle the extra load. Also if server down, both sites also go down at the same time.

Yes, it will be more expensive. You actually need to upload once and you can share it with all your sites. Need a bit of thinking and coding.

domain is usually less than $12 per year. Hosting can get more expensive if traffic starts to take off, so would your earning. Arcadelady show that it can be done within 8 months. What is 75+domain+hosting compare to $125K?

If you trade, you will need games that are frequently used for trading. Look at your partners's most played games to get some clue.

Strategy. I usually spend more time on sites that are profitable. They also need maintenance.

Depends. If budget is a concern, start with 1 hosting and then upgrade as you grow.

Add new games regularly and open more sites if time allowed and you should be able to earn 900 euro in 1 month rather than 1 year. Work harder and you might earn 900 euro a day. Who knows.

Does it matter were you reg your domain? I think not, i could buy my domain in Holland for 7,50excl a year (6 dollars) but it wouldnt matter to search engines or pageloads? Only the server/hosting matters? Or am i mistaken?

Deticated is too expensive if your starting if it goes well you can upgrade, i think imma have to start with 1 arcade and choose ATS to try, if it goes well than i can start some new ones.

@4KS what do you mean by mods? Highscores and such?
Are they outthere, opensource/free? Cause i cannot script at all (html/css i can but not php/sql).

I mean, in my opinion, ATS need customisation from template to many other things, like setting number of real gameplays, open traders site in new window, etc. Lot of mods on support forum for free. But don't worry, ATS is very easy customisation script.
